Have you heard??? It’s coming! What do you ask? Vacation Bible School of course! We’re gearing up for another fun and exciting VBS; an opportunity to serve the children and families of Cross as well as the families of our community! We certainly have not done it without you in the past and we’re hoping that you’ll join us again in making this the biggest VBS Cross has ever seen!
I’d like to offer up several service opportunities if you’re someone who can take that week off or spend it here with many other members of Cross. We have plenty of different types of roles and positions to be filled. Some of these roles require leadership and others are along for the ride. Areas of service include: Kitchen, Music, Teaching, Crafts, Games, Public Relations, and Volunteer Coordinating. If you are interested or have questions about any of these positions please feel free to contact me or Sharon Fraker.
Sometimes our hearts desire the opportunity to serve in a setting like this but our schedules don’t match up or something gets in the way. Don’t worry there are plenty of opportunities to help support VBS prior to the event itself. We’ll need lots of supplies donated and we’ll be decorating the buildings in a desert theme to put this experience over the top.
The biggest thing you can do to support Cross Lutheran Vacation Bible School is to get the word out! Take registration forms home with you to share with neighbors who have children, pass them along to family and friends who have family and friends, post them up on billboards and share them with businesses! The possibilities are endless and the need for people to hear the Gospel is great!
Finally, please pray for VBS and all the children and volunteers who will be participating this summer. Pray that the Holy Spirit opens up hearts and does the work that only the Lord can do and that the message of Christ our Savior be the focus of the entire week and the golden nugget following children home.
