Could you tell me about the following?
Sunday Morning Nursery Service
Cross
has Sunday morning nursery service available for young children. It is staffed
by volunteers, operates all morning long, and is located toward the rear of the Sanctuary.
The Procedures for Placing Flowers on the Altar
To sign up for flowers in 2012, please sign the book in the Sanctuary on the table as you come in. Our
procedure for placing flowers in the Chancel has undergone a change.
The Board of Elders has determined that one arrangement will be used on
Sunday mornings. This cuts the cost down to $40, and will hopefully be
an encouragement for people as they desire to place flowers in the
Chancel for special occasions throughout the year. Petals To Go
(830-625-5522) is the florist that normally supplies our Chancel
arrangements. They will deliver the flowers to the Church on Saturday
morning. As stated, the cost to the individual is $40, and if you choose,
the arrangement will be yours to take home after the 11:00 a.m. Worship
Service on that Sunday.(If the arrangement is left, it will be taken to
Hope Hospice to bless someone in their care.) You will pay the florist
directly. If you would like to reserve a Sunday to place a floral
arrangement in the Chancel, please sign up on the chart that is placed
on the end wall in the Fellowship Center. If you choose to use Petals To
Go, your order must be placed by noon, Friday, of the week before the
Sunday of your occasion. In other words—nine days before you desire
flowers in the Chancel, you’ll need to contact the florist by noon.
If you would like to include something in the bulletin to mark your occasion, please call Shanna in the Church Office at 625-3666 or email her at crosslutheran@satx.rr.com
Sunday Breakfast Tacos & Donuts
Donuts, tacos, and coffee are offered each
Sunday between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the Large Kitchen,
Fellowship Center. The tacos sell for $1.75 each and the donuts for $.75
each. There is also a 'free-will donation can' by the orange juice. The
Cross Lutheran Youth appreciate your support for this project.
S.O.S. (Spirit of Sharing)
The community Food Bank Collection Sunday
is always the first Sunday of each month. Our church-supported and
operated Food Bank (S.0.S.) is in need of canned goods, 1 lb. boxes of
cereal, pasta, etc. - items typically needed by a family. Leave your
items in the cart marked 'S.O.S.', out front of the Fellowship Center
each 1st Sunday of the month. On other Sundays, the cart is in the Large
Kitchen of the Fellowship Center and items may be placed in it there.
Your reflection of Christ's love is greatly appreciated.
