Rev. Donald D. Fraker II has served Cross since August of 1998. His wife, Sharon, teaches Kindergarten at Cross Lutheran School. Pastor & Sharon have three children: Rachel (and husband, Rev. Mike Boothby,) Seminarian Timothy (and wife, Darci,) and Jonathan, a student at Concordia University Texas. Pastor Fraker graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1983, and served congregations in Denison, Iowa, and Union, Missouri, before coming to New Braunfels.
Mr. Kevin Dierks, Principal, begins his tenth year at Cross Lutheran School while serving in his sixth year as administrator. He is a 1994 graduate of Concordia University- WI, received his University of North Texas Masters Degree in Reading in 1999 and completed the LCMS School Leadership Elementary Development (SLeD) program in 2008. Kevin's loving wife is Lisa, and they are enjoying the challenge of growing with their three children: Micah (12), Morgan (10), and Marcus (6). Kevin enjoys reading, teaching, coaching and playing sports.
Hailey Jo Moore, Director of Christian Education, accepted her Call to ministry in June of 2011 after completing her year of internship here at Cross Lutheran Church and School. Hailey Jo originates from Idaho and is excited to plan her upcoming June wedding with her fiancé Blake Miller. As Director of Christian Education, Hailey Jo oversees all Youth Ministry and Christian Education programs. Her passion is in sharing the Gospel in an honest way that meets people where they are in life.
Vicar Patrick Gumz is a seminarian from Concordia Seminary - St. Louis. He has completed the first two years of training and the vicarage year is the third year followed by a fourth year back in St. Louis. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Vicar Gumz is married to wife Kami who is the afternoon kindergarten teacher at Cross Lutheran School. They both are from Bremen, Indiana where they were married in 2009.
