CONFIRMATION CLASSES – Two-year Program – 7th and 8th Grades
Here at Cross Confirmation Instruction is conducted for the youth of our congregation in the years of 7th and 8th Grades.  Pastor Fraker teaches the 8th Grade, and the teacher for the 7th Grade is to be determined.  For the 8th Grade Class—at least one parent is required to attend with their student.  This practice provides a very special and powerful opportunity for the parent and child to interact and grow in their faith and walk with Christ…and to do so together.

Confirmation begins on the first Wednesday in September—September 4, from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Pastor’s 8th Grade Class meets in the Parlor.  The 7th Grade Class meets in the Modular Building—in Teacher Kari Lettow’s Classroom.

Please find information about Cross’ Sunday School: times, location and more at this link.
Our youth thank you for supporting their ministry through the weekly Sunday morning purchase of tacos, etc.!  This is the MAJOR source of fundraising for District and National Youth Gatherings, as well as their Servant Event trips!

+ Confirmation Classes begin on Wednesday, September 4, at 6:00 p.m.  Confirmation is for Grades 7 and 8.

+ Pastor’s next Adult Instruction/Confirmation Seminar will be held on two Saturdays:  September 7, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (Lunch is provided).  And September 14, from 9:00 until noon.  Call the church office (625-3666) by September 5 to register.

+ Our new year for Cross Lutheran School begins August 27.  Stay tuned for your invitation to attend the opening Worship Service!

"You don’t have to stop asteroids with one hand or push a nuclear bomb through a black hole to be a world class hero.  The truth is, what you do to help others on a daily basis is what counts the most.  Not every day is going to offer us a chance to save somebody’s life, but every day offers us an opportunity to affect one.”  Mark Bezos – Lesson from a Firefighter.  As followers of Jesus Christ, we should find ourselves moved to help those in need and step forward, grasping opportunities to affect lives in a positive way.  C3Cross Coalition Connection, which stands for , is a new group ministry here at Cross.  Our goal is to help support local foster and adoptive families in need.  Stay tuned!  In the coming weeks, our ministry group will share with you opportunities where you can help.  If you have any questions, please talk to one of our group members, Jan & Ernie Simon, James & Shanna Smith or Patsy Saputa.  “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12
